4628 Market Street aims to unite the community and nature while providing vital housing and workforce office space for The Enterprise Center, . At the heart of site planning, design, and construction strategy for Market Village is a focus on affordable, durable, and efficient design solutions to reduce energy consumption and environmental footprint, improve resident health, comfort, and well-being, add critical resources to benefit the surrounding community, maintain public open space, and provide facilities that enhance public health and wellness. Our proposal includes a combination of energy efficiency and environmental and community sustainability strategies. The project is pursuing LEED certification Successful implementation of these goals will be the responsibility of all project team members and stakeholders, as outlined below.
The overall building massing establishes strong yet gently inviting the public by engaging the alley way as an opportunity to extend the public space beyond the courtyard. This dynamic move and its relationship with the alleyway creates a deeper connection with the buildings’ most exciting moment and makes generous civic spaces along both Market street and Farragut. Focus was put on designing significant indoor and outdoor amenities for the residents of the building including active-landscaped zones on the courtyard level and rooftop adhering to the tenets of active design guidelines as well as promoting good health and an active lifestyle.
