Situated in the heart of West Baltimore,The Sanaa Center is dedicated to revitalizing the cultural heritage of Pennsylvania Avenue in West Baltimore and the broader community with 18,000-square feet which features a 350-seat performing arts theatre artist studios, production space, and cafe & bar for the community. To complete the campus, a 4,000-square-foot addition to the existing Harris Marcus Center will accommodate the expansion of Intersection of Change's multifaceted work in the community. Acknowledging historical challenges, this development strives to break the cycle of disinvestment by transforming this vacant lot into a dynamic hub for cultural production, economic growth, and community development.
Owned and operated by The Black Arts District in collaboration with Intersection of Change, the Center maximizes impact by leveraging the strengths of both organizations. It stands as a symbol of resilience and creativity, using the arts to breathe new life into Pennsylvania Avenue and foster a positive future for West Baltimore.
