resonance

Resonance is the culmination of spatial and experiential research. Resonance uses light to spread the exhibited image and participants infinitely in two directions—into the past and future— as they move within the work, they must confront their own positioning in a mechanized out-of-body experience. 

The installation was built on self-standing modules which allowed us to test the effect as well as the integration of lighting systems prior to final installation. Every detail was calculated; including the angle of the twin LED lamps so that beams overlap perfectly within each unit, amplifying the intended effect. 

The work emphasizes the movement of the body, reminding us that the human component is the most essential to any designed experience.
